Joseba Etxeberria is a retired Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder. He was born on September 5, 1977, in Elgoibar, Spain. Etxeberria began his professional career with Athletic Bilbao, where he spent most of his playing career. He made his debut in 1995 and played for the club until his retirement in 2010.
During his time at Athletic Bilbao, Etxeberria won two Copa del Rey titles and played a key role in the club's run to the UEFA Cup final in 2010. He was also a regular member of the Spanish national team, earning 53 caps and scoring 5 goals between 1998 and 2004.
After retiring from playing, Etxeberria became a coach and worked with Athletic Bilbao's youth teams before being appointed as the manager of CD Basconia, the club's reserve team, in 2015. He later managed Real Sociedad B before returning to Athletic Bilbao as the coach of the under-19 team in 2019.
